BEIJING – In the first 11 months of 2014, large-scale electronics and information manufacturing grew 12% year-over-year in China, says
the Ministry of Industry & Information Technology.

In the eastern parts of China, sales peaked at $1.17 trillion, up 6.7%, which accounted for 77.8% of total exports overall.

Mobile phones, laptop computers, integrated circuits, LCD panels and handheld wireless phone components were the five highest-earning export products, says MIIT.

Asia has surpassed Europe and the US as the world's top market for automated production, according to MarketResearch, says MIIT.

Plus, it is estimated that in the next six years, the total number of industrial robots installed will reach between 638,000 and 1.76 million units/sets, says China Industrial Control. This will account for a market share worth $20.5 billion.
