NEWBURYPORT, MA -- Accutek Microcircuits has been acquired by a pair of veteran electronics industry professionals for an undisclosed sum.
Liam Holt and Rich Flynn today closed on the acquisition of the EMS company, and already have plans to improve the site. Among the initial advances include installing a new Europlacer SMT line.
Holt and Flynn are familiar faces in the New England EMS market. Holt spent more than 10 years at Proto Pac Engineering, and has also worked in manufacturing engineering and quality for EFTC, Suntron and other firms. Flynn was in materials management and procurement at Proto Pac for 24 years, then moved to E-Systems. The pair has spent the past 15 months at Elite Manufacturing Services in Wilmington, MA.
Accutek was founded in 1986 by one of the creators of SIM and SIP DRAM modules.
