Urtech Mfg. Buys US-Based EMS
BURLINGTON, ONTARIO, CANADA -- EMS company Urtech Manufacturing has acquired a US-based contract assembler in a private deal.
Urtech purchased Jolt Technology Inc., a provider of electronics manufacturing services and quickturn prototyping based in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, for an undisclosed amount.
Jolt, which was founded in Fort Lauderdale in 1989, will now operate as Urtech Florida LLC.
“We are delighted to announce our expansion into the United States, and welcome the Jolt team to Urtech,” said Greg Gehl, president of Urtech Manufacturing. “We look forward to working with customers and demonstrating our commitment to delivering exceptional manufacturing services.” It is the first acquisition for Urtech, which was founded in 2010 and has a 80,000 sq. ft. facility in Burlington.
