WINDSOR, UK -- Speedboard Assembly Services reported revenue rose 12% year-over-year in its recently closed fiscal year.

Sales for fiscal 2017 were £12.5 million ($16.4 million), the privately held contract electronics manufacturer said.

Speedboard attributed the continued strong growth to new business wins and increased volumes from existing customers, some of which have moved away from dual-sourcing arrangements to make Speedboard their single source.

In a press release, Speedboard managing director Neil Owen said, “2016-2017 was another significant year for Speedboard. We’ve continued our track record of delivering compelling growth and achieving strong underlying profitability. It demonstrates that our approach to business and supporting customers in ways most CEMs are unwilling to entertain are the way forward.”

Earlier this year Speedboard announced a 3,000 sq. ft. expansion to its shop floor, bringing the facility to 25,000 sq. ft.
