‘Best Webinar Questions’ Will Net Free IPC Standards
EDINA, MN – “Judge a man by his questions rather than by his answers,” Voltaire said, and those judged to have the best questions for an upcoming webinar on soldering printing and inspection will win a bundle of IPC standards.
The standards are a giveaway to participants in the SMTA/NPL Group Printing & Assembly Automatic Optical Inspection Experience. The event takes place in two parts: at the SMTA International trade show in Rosemont, IL, in late September, and during a pre-show webinar on Sept. 15.
“I have helped with standards projects with other engineers in Europe but it’s in the US where the bulk of the work on creating documents takes place,” said Bob Willis, who is organizing the event and presenting the webinar. “The standards will be presented for the best questions asked during the pre-show webinar and at the special feature area at SMTA International.”
The IPC standards include:

· IPC-7525B, “Stencil Design Guidelines”
· IPC-J-STD-004, “Solder Paste Type and Classifications”
· IPC-A-610, “Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies”
