Smart Group to Host UK Soldering Void Workshop
LONDON – Smart Group will host a workshop on finding and eliminating voids in electronics soldering on Oct. 25 near Coventry, UK.
“Soldering Voids: Formation, Causes and Mitigation” will include presentations from soldering consumable suppliers, inspection equipment suppliers, and Manufacturing Technology Centre staff.
The workshop address questions such as what is a void? What agreed definitions can we use? What are the root causes of voiding? What can be done to prevent them? How good is inspection equipment for void detection? What new techniques are available? How does voiding impact product performance and reliability? What are the current international standards applicable to voiding?
