STAMFORD, CT -- Gartner raised its outlook for the worldwide semiconductor market revenue, saying it will drop 22.4% in 2009, up from a February estimate of a 24.1% fall.
HONG KONG -- Surface Mount Technology Holdings, a top 30 EMS company, reported revenue plunged 52% year-over-year to HK$397.7 million ($51.3 million) for the quarter ended March 31.
SAN JOSE -- Flextronics is commencing a cash tender offer to purchase up to $200 million worth of its outstanding long-term notes and is proposing changes to existing terms that would permit the EMS company to retire up to $500 million worth of other debt early.
