Glen Cove, NY – Photocircuits Corp. received the Milspec 31032 and 55110 Qualification from DSCC in Columbus, OH.

The company sees this qualification as an important step in its transformation to a significant producer of high reliability PCBs for communications, computer, industrial and now military markets.

“As our volume business continues to transition to our PC Asia factory in Kunshan, China, our New York operations will become predominately a proto, quick turn, high mix and military manufacturer of circuit boards,” said Rick McNamee, CEO.

“With the Milspec Qualification in place we expect to be able to ramp up our military business, both production and protos” said Alan Abbate, director of sales. “We have been involved in a number of military programs for over a year supporting several customers.”

Military products are expected to grow significantly over the next few years to represent a significant portion of the company’s domestic business. Photocircuits now has Milspec, Proto/Quick Turn and standard high mix production capabilities in the U.S. as well as PC Asia in China.
