WASHINGTON – The Semiconductor Industry Association submitted comments to the US Department of Commerce in response to President Biden’s executive order on securing America’s critical supply chains, highlighting the importance of the global semiconductor supply chain to maintaining a strong semiconductor industry and identifying a range of vulnerabilities.
WASHINGTON – Global semiconductor industry sales were $39.6 billion in February, an increase of 14.7% year-over-year, down 1% sequentially, according to the Semiconductor Industry Association.
WASHINGTON – The Alliance for Auto Innovation is petitioning for the US government help in boosting semiconductor availability, asserting the current shortage could result in ongoing factory disruptions that could result in more than 1.25 million fewer vehicles being built this year.
