TORONTO -- The decline at SMTC continued in the second quarter as the electronics manufacturing services provider swung to a net loss of $6 million, down from a profit of $2.8 million a year ago. Revenue in the June period slipped 13.6% year-over-year and 1% sequentially to $64.9 million.
MINNEAPOLIS -- Nortech Systems reported net income for the second quarter rose 49% from last year to $187,000. The EMS firm reported net sales of $28.5 million for the quarter ended June 30, up 1% from last year and 10% sequentially.
LAGUNA, PHILIPPINES – Integrated Micro-Electronics Inc. announced lower net income despite a jump in sales on strength in Europe and North America. The electronics manufacturing services provider reported net income fell 33% from last year to $2.1 million due primarily to lower capacity utilization in its China facilities.
