MAPLE LAWN, MD – Electronics manufacturer ELTA Systems is opening a 7,500 sq. ft. facility here, and plans to expand to 25,000 sq. ft.

The company intends to create 100 high-tech jobs during the next four years, according to published reports.

The Maryland Economic Development Assistance Fund reportedly provided ELTA with a $300,000 10-year loan, provided the firm creates 100 jobs at the Maryland location by 2021.

ELTA is a subsidiary of Israel Aerospace Industries. The firm produces electronic radar, communication and surveillance equipment.

The firm has $1 billion in annual sales, 90% from exporting defense systems.
