MANKATO, MN – EMS firm Winland Electronics Inc. reported net sales of $4.5 million for the first quarter, down 36.5% year-over-year.

The company reported a net loss of $539,000, versus a net loss of $125,000 in the comparable quarter in 2009.

The company recorded an operating loss for the quarter of $525,000, compared to an operating loss of $65,000 in the same period last year.

EMS sales for the quarter totaled $3.7 million, down 42.4 % year-over-year.
