SAN JOSE -- OnCore Manufacturing Services has acquired Victron in a deal between two similar-sized privately held EMS companies.
Terms were not disclosed.
The combined electronics manufacturing services firm will have eight facilities and annual revenues of about $600 million, according to CIRCUITS ASSEMBLY sources. That would move the combined firm just outside the top 20 in sales worldwide, and eighth among US-based contract printed circuit board assemblers.
Both companies are heavily defense and aerospace oriented. They also supply to the medical, industrial and communications markets.
OnCore chief executive Dan Perez called Victron an "important strategic addition." "The combination increases our solution offerings, extends our target market reach and better serves the needs of our customers, employees and investors. Victron’s strength in medical devices and communications is complementary to OnCore’s existing market solutions."
The merged company has manufacturing facilities in Springfield and Wilmington, MA; Longmont, CO; Fremont, San Marcos and San Jose, CA; and Rosarito and Tijuana, Mexico.
OnCore was created in 2008 through a merger of Nu Visions EMS and Veritek.
