MILPITAS, CASolectron Corp. has expanded its Shanghai product development facility, and expects to hire more than 100 engineers to help provide complete product development services for OEMs of telecommunication, computing, storage and consumer electronics products.
 
The company didn’t disclose the size of the facility.
 
By locating product development and manufacturing in close proximity to its Suzhou and Shenzhen locations, Solectron says it can provide customers with system-level design, new product introduction and full-volume production capabilities throughout China.
 
BINGHAMTON, NYUniversal Instruments is making its AdVantis Platform more affordable through a ‘Step-Leasing’ program. This limited-time offer allows customers to build now and pay later, while replacing aging, under-performing equipment.
 
The program also offers limitless combinations of each model in conjunction with component feeders and software tools.
