TOKYO – Worldwide sales of new semiconductor manufacturing equipment are projected to increase 9.7% to $62.1 billion in 2018, a new record. The equipment market is expected to contract 4% percent in 2019 but grow 20.7% to reach $71.9 billion in 2020, an all-time high, says SEMI.
FRAMINGHAM, MA – Worldwide enterprise storage systems vendor revenue increased 19.4% year-over-year to $14 billion during the third quarter, says International Data Corp. Total capacity shipments were up 57.3% year-over-year to 113.9EB.
WESTLAKE, OHIO – Nordson reported fiscal fourth quarter sales were $569 million, down 1% year-over-year. For the quarter ended Oct. 31, net income was $87 million, up 8.8% compared to the same period last year. Operating profit was $115 million, a decrease of 8% year-over-year.
