Plato XT soldering tips come in 19 different styles. Are compatible with Weller WX stations using WXP120 iron. Tip geometries include conical, screwdriver, bevel, knife, and SMD flow tip.
Two new sponges fit Hakko FX-888 and FX-888E stations. Slitted sponge is designed to capture solder while wiping off tip. Sponge with the large hole adds surface area for wiping. Both are made of cellulose.

LCR-meter Smart Tweezers now feature blue tooth communication ports connecting LCR-meters and PCs; can transfer and record measurement data. Port is for incoming electronic component control and for keeping logs of performed measurements. Measurement data are sent to the PC in text format containing time stamp, component type and component value; creates a log file. Data can be captured in a spreadsheet and/or in a database. Designed for component evaluation on a production line, PCB impedance testing, and component sorting. Have reported accuracy of 0.2%; test signal of 0.25, 0.5 and 1 Vrms; component sorting with 1, 5, 10 and 20%, and handle components as small as 0201.
