MORRISVILLE, NC  May 2022  Juki Automation Systems (JAS), Inc., a world-leading provider of automated assembly products and systems and subsidiary of Juki Corporation, is pleased to announce that BayaTronics has purchased a complete Juki line for its new facility. Located in Concord, North Carolina, BayaTronics is a global technology, supply chain and manufacturing solutions partner. The sale was facilitated by Bob Doetzer with Circuit Technology.

BayaTronics’ new facility is state-of-the-art, outfitted with all of the latest Juki SMT equipment, including: a G-Titan APD Screen Printer, two RS-1R Placement Machines, an 8-Zone Air Reflow Oven, iCube-DN inline selective solder, Incoming Material Station, ISM3600 Intelligent Storage Tower and ISM500 Intelligent Storage Cabinet.

Founded in 2021, BayaTronics has big plans for future growth and expansion. Design and production volume determines material cost, which has a major impact on the overall cost of a product. BayaTronics assists its customers with design for manufacturability, new product introduction, and the procurement of materials without burdening the customer with excess material cost.

ACE Convergence Acquisition in a regulatory filing said it has postponed Thursday’s shareholder vote on the proposed merger with Tempo Automation, a software-accelerated electronics manufacturer.

The SPAC in the filing said it needs more time to finalize financing for the deal, which has a $919 million estimated post-transaction equity value.

ACE said it would announce a new meeting date at a later time.

The SPAC has already disclosed multiple funding sources, including:

  • $230 million from cash in trust by ACE, assuming no redemptions
  • $82 million fully committed PIPE anchored by Point72 Ventures Investments and ACE Equity Partners with participation from Firsthand Funds and Lux Capital.
  • Tempo also has $200 million in convertible notes financing, most of it from Oaktree Capital.

In addition, the companies announced in March that they had acquired a $100 million equity facility for post-merger needs. The equity facility would be provided by an affiliate of Cantor Fitzgerald.
