HeatShieldGel is a water-based gel that protects electronic components from heat. Apply on parts neighboring device to be reworked or on heat-sensitive devices such as ceramic capacitors subject to reflow. Can be used on boards with tightly spaced components without cutting or modification of shielding tape or materials. Reportedly does not impact reliability of the printed circuit board. Is reportedly 4x more effective than Kapton tape. Is a single-use water-soluble clay-based environmentally-safe formula. Is nonflammable, non-toxic and does not have corrosive properties. Clean using DI water and a soft brush or run it through wash machine cycle using a water-only cleaning process. Comes in 3oz plastic sealed screw top jar.
