APT-1600FD-SL dual-sided flying probe test system is designed to accommodate large PCBAs for 5G communications and battery management system applications.
SL series reportedly provides 48% larger test area. Deploys flying probes to both sides of UUT. Provides average head speed increases of up to 50% with throughput improvements of 30-50% over existing models. Incorporates 10-flying-Z-axis design, including four vertical flying probes that provide access to test points where conventional angled probes fail to contact. Has six topside and four bottom-side flying probes. Soft touch probing reportedly eliminates witness marks. Is equipped with laser profiling system. Prior to testing, surface of board is scanned, and system automatically compensates for warpage. Has vision test system TOS-7F corresponding to color images as standard on both top and bottom side; has megapixel color digital camera and ring illuminations with high-intensity white LED. Can import sharp color image to detect missing, wrong orientation and positioning error. Measurement system includes multiple four-quadrant source and measurement units, plus AC sine and square wave generator and frequency counter. Enhanced function scanner board and communications software help connect external instrumentation for additional functional test capabilities.
