MELVILLE, NY – Arrow Electronics Inc. has signed on to purchase the components distributor Achieva from Asia-based parent company Achieva Ltd.

The transaction is subject to approval and is expected to close in the next 60 to 90 days.

No further financial details were disclosed.

Achieva’s products cover semiconductor components such as application-specific ICs, programmable logic devices, digital signal processing chips and microchip-controller units.

The company has more than 200 employees. Total 2006 sales were approximately $200 million.
