JACKSON, MI -- Electronics manufacturing services provider Sparton Corp. today announced Cary B. Wood as its  chief executive, effective Nov. 24. Interim CEO Richard Langley remains president, the company said.

Since late 2004, Wood has been COO at Citation Corp., company with foundry, machining and assembly operations. Wood has previously worked for General Motors, United Technologies, Formica and Elkay Corp. He has significant experience with accelerated turnaround strategies, the company said.

Sparton is a Top 70 global EMS company with six manufacturing sites and a former Circuits Assembly Service Excellence Award winner.
