STOCKHOLM – EMS provider NOTE has acquired all shares in Oslo-based electronics manufacturer Norteam Electronics AS, the company said. Financial details were not disclosed.

Norteam focuses on prototypes and low-volume manufacturing. It has annual sales of about $74 million, and NOTE believes it wil be accretive to earnings and sales in 2009. Björn Furu, president of NOTE Oslo, will manage the newly acquired 40-employee operation.

A top 50 global EMS provider, NOTE has operations in Sweden, Norway, Finland, the UK, Estonia, Lithuania, Poland and China. In 2007, net sales were $228 million and the company has 1,200 employees.
