VANCOUVER, BC -- Northstar Electronics reported first-quarter net losses narrowed 38.7% on a 15% increase in sales.
For the period ended March 31, the firm reported revenues of $488,034, up from $423,545 in 2008. The net loss from operations was $212,938, some 38.7% less than the net loss of $347,089 in the same period 2008.
During the quarter, NEIK received a $2.05 million contract from L-3 Communications MAPPS to manufacture machine control consoles for navy patrol frigates.
The firm also cut overhead by 28.8% during the quarter.
