DOUARNENEZ, FRANCE -- Asteel, the world's 13th largest EMS company, liquidated its plant here last week and laid off 134 workers, according to published reports.

The Quimper bankruptcy court oversaw the liquidation of the site, which came after employees and management could not agree on contract and wage terms, and business conditions fell to "nonexistent" according the Le Telegramme.

Asteel operates 10 other manufacturing sites around the world.
