DUSSELDORF, GERMANY – Henkel reported third-quarter sales down 7.3% year-over-year to 3.5 billion euros.
Operating profit increased 51.8% to 290 million euros compared to the same quarter last year.
Adhesive technologies registered a decrease in organic sales of 7.6%. Compared to the second quarter, however, the drop in organic sales has halved. Operating profit for the sector decreased 47%.
“There was a further improvement in the results of the adhesive technologies business sector in the course of the year, albeit on a lower level than in the previous year,” said Kasper Rorsted, chairman of the Henkel management board.
Henkel anticipates the performance of its adhesive technologies business to be an improvement on that of the first nine months.
