LISLE, IL -- Molex has settled litigation stemming from a dispute over the scope of a license agreement covering Hon Hai's (Foxconn) use of its DisplayPort mating interface.

As part of the settlement, Hon Hai has been granted a separate, worldwide, royalty-bearing license, giving it the right to sell non-standard connectors using the disputed mating interface, and having a through-hole mounting interface.

The agreement is pending approval in US District Court. Neither party has admitted any wrongdoing with respect to the claims and counterclaims.

No further information is available regarding the terms of the settlement.
