HONG KONG -- EMS provider Surface Mount Technology (Holdings) Ltd. has incorporated a new wholly owned subsidiary known as Dongguan Xinfeng Electronic Co., Ltd.

SMTech Xinfeng will fulfill orders from Samsung to assemble LCD monitors and TVs.

The new subsidiary has been incorporated in Dongguan, Guangdong Province, China, with a registered capital of HK$20 million, which will be satisfied mainly by equipment injection through the group's intercompany equipment transfer.

The incorporation of SMTech Xinfeng is not expected to have any material impact on the earnings and tangible assets of the SMT Holdings for the financial year ending March 31.
