SUZHOU – Flextronics’ laptop PC manufacturing plant set to open here later this year will double the EMS company’s capacity to 20 million, according to reports.

Flextronics, which in the past year has made a concerted push into PC production, built a reported 8 to 10 million units in 2009.

The company is expanding in China in order to be close to its customers, said Flextronics Computing president Sean Burke, the Shanghai Daily reported.
