GLENVIEW, IL -- ITW today reported operating revenue increased 19% during the April quarter over the year-ago period on stronger consumer and industrial end-markets worldwide.
Base revenues contributed 12% to revenue growth in the period, while acquisitions and currency translation added 2% and 5%, respectively. On a segment basis, the Company's three month moving average percentage change for operating revenues, comprised of base revenues, acquisitions and currency translation, is provided below.
The conglomerate's Power Systems and Electronics group was up 20.8% year-over-year. The unit includes Kester, Speedline Technologies, Vitronics-Soltec and other leading electronics manufacturing suppliers.
The company guided for fiscal second-quarter revenue growth of 15% to 19%, and fiscal 2010 sales growth of 10% to 14%.
