SIOUX FALLS, SD -- Raven Industries today announced Daniel A. Rykhus will succeed Ron Moquist as president and chief executive when he retires in August.

Rykhus, the company's executive vice president, runs its Applied Technology Division's agriculture business. On his watch, that unit has reached more than $100 million in sales, making it Raven's largest operation.  

Moquist, who will turn 65 in September, joined Raven in 1975. He assumed leadership of the company 10 years ago, and during that span revenues have more than doubled.

Rykhus has been executive vice president of Raven since 2004 and a member of its board since 2008. He was general manager, Applied Technology, from 1998 through 2009. He joined the company in 1990 as director of world class manufacturing. 

Raven also makes engineered films and performs contract electronics assembly.
