IRVINE, CA -- Contract electronics manufacturer Probe Manufacturing swung to a net profit for its second quarter ended June 30 as its business benefited from larger orders and new customers.

The company reported revenue rose 80.3% to $754,170 and net profit hit $202,488, up from a net loss of $165,866 in 2009.

In the past three quarters, the EMS firm has added four customers and seen an increase in business from existing accounts.

For the first half, gross margins were 26%, up 10 percentage points from 2009.
