BOSTON -- An industry equipment auction raised more than $100,000 to benefit the LiveSTRONG organization in its fight against cancer.

A large number of companies provided equipment at cost or gave their time and services to the auction, including Asymtek, Air Vac Engineering, CIRCUITS ASSEMBLY, KIC Thermal, Lewis and Clark, Schlueniger, Speedline Technologies and Vitronics, among others. Juki went so far as to donate a placement machine. X-Line Assets provided the platform for the three-day, online event, which ended Thursday.

The event was conceived and organized by Jeff Mogensen, a former executive at Speedline.

LiveSTRONG is the organization founded by cyclist Lance Armstrong, himself a cancer survivor.
