NELSON, BC -- EMS firm Pacific Insight Electronics reported June quarter net profits of $316,000 on sales of $8.1 million.

The results compare favorably to the year-ago quarter, when the firm lost $30,000 on sales of $4.9 million.

For its fiscal year ended June 30, the contract assembler reported sales of $29.19 million, up 20% from 2009. Net income was $531,000, versus a loss of $497,000 in the prior year.
