MINNEAPOLIS – EMS firm Nortech Systems today reported third-quarter net sales of $26 million, up 39% year-over-year.
Net income was $127,000, compared to a net loss of $854,000 in the same period last year. Operating income was $166,000, compared to an operating loss of $1.1 million for the third quarter 2009, which included one-time restructuring and impairment charges of $353,000.

For the first nine months of 2010, Nortech reported net sales of $72.4 million, up 20% year-over-year.

Operating income for the period was $977,000, compared with an operating loss of $5.5 million for the first nine months of 2009, which included one-time restructuring and impairment charges of $998,000.

Net income was $370,000 for the nine-month period, compared with a net loss of $3.7 million last year.
