SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- Worldwide Energy and Manufacturing USA reported third-quarter net income fell 40.5% year-over-year to $1.2 million despite a huge jump in sales.

For the period ended Sept. 30, revenues increased 139.3% year-over-year to $44.6 million. Gross profit increased 48.7% to $4.0 million, up from $2.7 million a year ago; Gross margin was 8.9%, compared to 14.4% in the same period last year.

EMS sales made up about $4.6 million of total revenue during the period. The majority of WEM's sales come from solar modules.
