LEWISVILLE, TX -- Top 15 EMS firm Elcoteq has acquired a local company that specializes in after market services. Terms were not disclosed.

Elcoteq, ranked 11th on the latest CIRCUITS ASSEMBLY Top 50, which is due out next week, acquired 100% of the shares of BroadTech Inc., including its 80 staff. The business is expected to generate sales of $15 million to $20 million annually, Elcoteq said.

The deal is expected to be accretive in 2011.

BroadTech offers reverse logistics, repair, refurbishment and related information management services to the wireless and consumer electronics industries. David Lopez, president and founder of BroadTech, will remain to manage the operations.

"This is a strategic step for Elcoteq in building a leading global after market services provider to the consumer and communications electronics industries. BroadTech adds key reverse logistics, repair, refurbishment and related information management capabilities to our service offering in a central location in Dallas Metroplex area", said Vesa Keränen, head of Elcoteq AMS Business Segment.

Elcoteq currently operates high volume repair depots in Monterrey and Juarez, Mexico.
