ST. PETERSBURG – Jabil Circuit said it would lay off about 90 staff at its manufacturing plant here.
The layoffs reportedly reflect declining customer product demand.
Before the recession, the firm had planned to spend $50 million building a new headquarters here, but the expansion was put on hold in 2009 after Jabil cut nearly 400 employees locally in 2008.
In 2010, the firm posted total revenues of $13.4 billion.
