HAVERHILL, MA, -- Contract manufacturer Lightspeed MFG will open a dedicated prototype unit in this Boston suburb to meet growing demand for quickturn services.

Lightspeed PROTO will launch May 1, and will operate independently from the parent company's existing electronics assembly operations.

The company, which is run by founder Rich Breault, seeks qualified candidates for SMT assembly (first and second shifts) and BGA rework.
