GLENVIEW, IL -- Illinois Tool Works' Power Systems and Electronics business unit reported sales rose 21% over last year for the three months ended May 31.
The unit includes printed circuit solder company Kester, and screen printer, reflow and wave soldering equipment OEMs Speedline Technologies and Vitronics Soltec, among others.
Overall, the conglomerate reported total operating revenue rose 18% year-over-year for the period ended May 31. Organic revenues made up 8 points of the total revenue growth during the period. Acquisitions and currency translation added five percentage points each to total revenues.
The company forecast full-year 2011 revenue growth of 16% to 18%, with fiscal second quarter growth of 17% to 20%.
