RICHARDSON, TX ― EMS firm ACD today said sales rose 21% year-over-year in 2011, making it the most successful in the company’s 27-year history.

The privately held printed circuit board design and assembly company did not release actual sales figures, but based on previous reporting, revenues were likely about $28 million for the year.

Three out of the four quarters in 2011 were record quarters for ACD and seven out of 12 months were record months.

The contract electronics assembler expanded in 2011, adding 40 employees, more than 13,000 sq. ft. of plant space, and two high-speed Juki lines. The company was profiled by CIRCUITS ASSEMBLY in October.
