PECS, HUNGARY -- Flextronics will add several hundred workers at its assembly plant to fill new orders from Huawei, according to published reports.

Flextronics nabbed the orders for optical transmission units and network communications products after Elcoteq declared bankruptcy last year.

Monthly unit production reportedly will rise from to 5,000 by year-end from 2,000 in February, the report said. To keep up with the increase, Flextronics will add 100 to 300 workers.
