MORRISVILLE, NC — Juki Automation Systems has signed a long-term exclusive agreement to distribute Shenzhen JT Automation Equipment's soldering equipment in the Americas.

The deal, terms of which were not disclosed, covers development, customization and sales of Shenzhen-based JT's reflow ovens, wave solder machines and accessories. It also foresees the development of additional products in the future, Juki said.

It is the second major deal between Juki and a Chinese OEM in two months. In January, Juki announced it would begin offering GKG's screen printers. Juki can now offer a full-line solution, from printer to pick-and-place and all flavors of soldering, including selective, thanks to an existing deal with Intertec.

In a statement, Juki president and CEO Bob Black said, “We have been quite impressed with the quality and innovation that JT has demonstrated in its products. As a result, we are very pleased to add JT to our sales portfolio.”

JT founder and director Wu Xian said, “Over the years, JT products has been well recognized in the China and South East Asia market, which houses the majority of mass SMT production companies. Today, we are ready to accelerate into the North America market by aligning with Juki Automation Systems, Inc. (JAS) as our exclusive sales partner. JT's products will be available for delivery from Juki's Morrisville, NC, and Fremont, CA, sites beginning in April. Full service and support will be offered throughout the Americas.
