PARIS -- Asteelflash has appointed Chuck Thistle vice president of business development for the Americas, responsible for developing and implementing the EMS company's sales initiatives and strategies to acquire new business.

Thistle previously was in high-level business development roles for various EMS companies, including Benchmark Electronics and ATS.

"I am excited to welcome Chuck to our team," said Joop Ruijgrok, executive vice president of sales and marketing for Asteelflash. "He brings a tremendous amount of EMS experience and a deep knowledge of the American territory. Asteelflash is unique in the industry in that we are actively growing our business in the Americas, and Chuck will be instrumental in helping us achieve our goals."

Prior to Asteelflash, Thistle was corporate vice president of business development at Benchmark, where he spent 14 years.
