HARTLEPOOL, ENGLAND -- Stadium Group is on the prowl for acquisitions, the electronics manufacturing services company said today.
“We want to build on the core business with acquisitions Companies have been identified and lots of discussions are going on,” chief executive Stephen Phipson said.
For the year ended Dec. 31, the contract electronics assembler reported revenues of £44.94 million ($71 million), up slightly from £44.81 million in 2010. Pretax profits rose 38% to £3.96 million.
“While the weakness in demand experienced towards the end of 2011 has continued into the start of 2012, there has been a good deal of success in converting opportunities into new business wins," said chairman Nick Brayshaw.
The company has made several recent appointments, including Phipson, Rugby business unit director Ian Davies, strategic business development director Lindsay Driscoll, business development manager Steve Henderson, and sales director for Asia Sinney Leung.
Stadium has EMS operations in Hong Kong, Dongguan, and two in the UK.
