KWIDZYN, POLAND -- Jabil reportedly will lay off hundreds of workers here and ask for wage concessions from remaining staff.

According to published reports, Jabil, the world's third-largest contract electronics assembler, will let go 600 temporary staff and seek up to 20% in wage cuts from the full-time workers.

Jabil employs thousands of workers at the 713,000 sq. ft. site. It is not unusual for the employment rolls at large EMS companies to fluctuate broadly based on programs wins and losses and other factors.
