PARIS -- Asteelflash Group has formed a joint venture with electronics engineering company Adetel Group to offer a comprehensive package ranging from product design to turnkey manufacturing.
Asteelflash has some 5,000 employees in production sites on four continents. The contract electronics manufacturer ranked 16th among EMS companies last year in the CIRCUITS ASSEMBLY Top 50.
Adetel has more than 500 engineers and specializes in design of onboard systems for aerospace, defense, security, rail and medical applications. It had revenues of more than 50 million euros in 2011. Adetel has locations in France, Morocco, China and the US.
"The nature of this partnership allows us to offer an expanded package, thanks to the know-how of our two companies, which in turn enables us to meet the expectations of our respective customers," said François Sébès, CEO of Adetel Group.
Gilles Benhamou, CEO of Asteelflash Group, this is an opportunity to "offer a complete design-to-cost package in key sectors, thereby outsourcing products as a whole, which is an option that some of our customers are seeking."
"Increasingly, customers expect structures that can handle a wide range of services, from specifications to mass production," said Benhamou. "This partnership has already led to important contracts in the aerospace and onboard systems segments."
