FRANKFURT -- Germany's domestic electronics assembly market is expected to grow 4.2% this year, according to a local trade group.

ZVEI PCB and Electronic Systems predicts domestic production will rise to EUR 27.4 billion ($35.4 billion).

The figures include both contract (EMS) work and OEM production.

Germany is the world's fourth-largest assembly market, behind the US, China and Japan.
