SHENZHEN -- Nam Tai Electronics today announced its Wuxi plant has been approved by a customer for producing high-resolution LCD modules for tablets and smartphones.

The EMS firm has orders booked from the customer and the plant has commenced mass production, Nam Tai said.

Another customer has delayed a smartphone LCM project at Nam Tai's Shenzhen facility. Specifications for the current sample model are now expected to be finalized before end of August, and mass production is expected to commence in November, Nam Tai said.
