Smart Group to Host X-Ray Webinar
BUCKS, UK – A Smart Group webinar next month will discuss advances in x-ray tube, software and detector technology for manufacturing electronics components and assemblies.
The 90-minute webinar, “100 Years of X-ray Advancement,” will also review failure analysis.
Topics for the Jan. 29 event include technology trends driving industry; basic guide to x-ray systems; advances in tube and detector technology; challenges for x-ray; the battle against counterfeiters, and CT scans and other choices for complex PoPs.
The webinar will review x-ray tube and detector types available and explain the implications of these choices for electronics inspection. These effects will be addressed in terms of what they provide for inspection regarding image resolution, magnification, tube power, detector pixel size, and the effects of detector radiation damage. It also will suggest optimum configurations for the main electronics inspection tasks required today.
