ACW Puts Remaining EMS Sites on Block
ZHUHAI, CHINA -- In the wake of the sale of its UK assets to TT Electronics, ACW Technology has put its Zhuhai-based EMS plant on the block.
The company also put up for sale ACW Global Sourcing and ACW Technology Inc., based in the US.
The 48,000 sq. ft. Zhuhai factory performs full box-build and surface mount assembly, with three SMT lines, plus ATE, AOI and x-ray. Its staff is said to be intact, although as part of the TT Electronics deal, production orders are moving to the latter's plant in Suzhou.
The 30,000 sq. ft. North Carolina facility is also equipped with the latest, new machinery and equipment; and is also available for acquisition as a whole or in parts. It is not currently operational.
The majority of ACW's UK trade and assets, including its domain name acw.co.uk, were acquired last month by TT Electronics.
